coins

so i've decided to begin something new that will test me on my endurance...

for TEN years, i want to see how much money i find on the streets.

this is the first installment. :)

i went to go pick up brad at LAX and in front of the tom bradley terminal (international), i found a 50 singaporean cent coin next to the luggage carts.

good times.

phillip joked that 50 singaporean cents probably was worth 5 dollars cause of the exchange rate.

I once a $100 bill in downtown L.A. over 14 years ago. This was before downtown was gentrified and the only people walking those streets were poor. I felt so guilty that it took me a couple of weeks to finally spend it. I think I may have treated some friends to dinner...

I failed to write the word "FOUND" in my earlier response. Oops!!!

This reminds me of the time you wanted to shoot umbrellas--found on the streets of NYC. Trashed umbrellas post-rain...
Or was it gloves? ... damn my old-lady memory is getting the best of me.
Either way this is a v. cool project. And to shoot it too. Nice idea!
